Take this three day Christmas challenge to spread kindness and feel great. Are you ready? It is simple to do and simple not to do, but let's do it!
1. For three days straight message an old friend that you have not spoken to or communicated with in years, and send them a happy holiday message! No generic or forward postings. Simply write them a nice massage. An example: "Hi Jess, I know we have not spoken in a while, but I was just thinking of you and wanted to wish you and your family a happy-healthy holiday." Then write down one thing you are grateful for from your past relationship with them (one step further after your three days of messages, send each person what you wrote down). Key: Pick three or more old friends and let them know you are thinking of them!
2. Take 10 minutes each day for three days, go for a power walk or jump on that old exercise machine (that is probably covered with hanging laundry), start moving your body with a 10 minute timer set and pick up the phone and call a loved one. Catch up with them while you burn some extra calories and improve your heart health.
3. Skip the cookies, pies, and any dessert for three days. Every time you are offered or tempted to dive into some sugary bites, smile, slam a glass of water, and reach for an alternative treat. I enjoy lemon collagen bars by Bulletproof or their new Mint bars. I also enjoy the KIND maple bars. Just remind yourself of how you will feel when you skip the sugary treat. No need to pile on empty calories during this time. Taking a three day sugar break can help improve your mood and increase your energy levels.
Will you commit to all three? Or maybe you commit to one or two of these. Either way let us know what you are committed to. Tag us @HappyWholeYou on FB, Instagram, and Twitter.
