We all love Friday because for many people this means they have Saturday and Sunday off from work. They have more time for family, hobbies, friends, and themselves. So, here are three tips to ensure you have a healthy productive weekend.
1. Sleep in an extra hour and then get in a HIIT workout. HIIT workouts are high intensity interval training workouts that do not take up a lot of time but they give you high calorie burn and rev-up your metabolism for the hours to come and get your spouse and kids involved or a friend. Plus, you will feel great doing it.
2. Have a clean house. I don't know about you, but when I have a clean house I feel better and I find I am more productive. Does this happen to you? Please email me if you agree with this. Schedule a house cleaning service for Thursday or Friday's. I do not like to spend the weekend cleaning because it take time away from my kiddo's and hubby. However, I know hiring someone is not always an option, so if you must clean turn it into a game and turn up some good music. All I know is a cleaner home leaves me with a clearer mind!
3. Plan your weekend meals ahead of time. Many people plan their meals for the five day work week but they forget to plan for the weekend. This can cause some guilt and frustration. Another way to plan for this is order meals from places like Blue Apron, Green Chef or any other company that delivers meals that you prepare. The added value here is the meals are already proportioned out and directions are provided. This is a great way to get loved ones involved in cooking and this saves you time, money, and extra calories you would have been getting from going out to eat.
